Album artwork & motion package
Hollow Field
Overview
Artwork for a record that had been made almost entirely in one room, and needed to look like it.
01 Challenge
The band had a finished record, a small budget and a release date eight weeks out. They also had a clear negative brief: nothing that looked like a band photo, nothing that looked like a stock texture pack, nothing that would date by the second single.
02 Approach
We built the whole package from a single physical process — one object, lit and re-lit, photographed across two days. Every asset in the campaign is a crop or a frame of that shoot, which meant the visual language was consistent by construction rather than by guideline. Motion was kept to slow moves that matched the record rather than the platform.
03 Outcome
The package covered the album, four singles, vinyl, and a tour campaign without a second shoot. The constraint did more for coherence than any amount of specification would have.
